Thankful Day 17

Today I'm thankful for my garden.  I was able to get quite a few things out of it this year, especially zucchini.  It was so abundant in that regard that I shredded over 30 cups and was able to give some away and keep some in the freezer.  We also ate some regularly throughout the summer.  I'm thankful I can go to my freezer and pull some out now and throughout the winter and know it's healthy, safe and feel a bit of pride since it's from my own garden.  I've never really had a green thumb so I'm thankful we got anything out of the garden at all.

My garden partway through the summer.  Lettuce, broccoli, zucchini, rhubarb and various herbs.

One of the many giant zucchini that came from the garden this year (that was promptly shredded).
